JOHNDORY was founded in 2021 by its german-polish lead singer Jan Ludwig. Musically, JOHNDORY is influenced by the likes of Tim Hardin, Mark Lanegan, Johnny Cash, Willie Dunn, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop and The Velvet Underground.
JOHNDORY 's first album YOUWANTMEHERE is a selection of rather melancholic songs, all written and arranged by lead-singer Jan Ludwig. YOUWANTMEHERE seeks to haunt its listeners into reconsidering self-perception – mostly by the means of intimate portrayals of contradictive behaviour.
